How It Works | Proportional Scaling

Here’s a quick tip regarding the function of artwork sizing known as Scaling.

When you Scale a graphic proportionally, you’re either increasing (up) or decreasing (down) its overall surface area (Length x Width). To increase sizing of an image we ALWAYS scale proportionally, rather than stretch in a single direction, in order to maintain the visual integrity of each graphic.

Aside from the visual importance of scaling proportionally, the increase or decrease in surface area will have a direct effect on pricing. Sometimes the change is negligible and in other cases can be very significant.

If you’re interested in getting your sticker project quoted at multiple sizes, please indicate this to your Sales Advisor in order to get the most accurate price quote.
