I was practically raised in the world of sports marketing and media relations. I had my first industry job working for Nike as a print model at age five. College summers were spent interning at adidas Golf in event marketing and PR coordination; working with pro athletes such as Ernie Els and Sergio Garcia. I spent five years in-house at Helly Hansen as a marketing coordinator with my hands in almost every aspect of the business. Core responsibilities included tradeshow development, athlete relations and movie tour coordination, sales meeting management, and PR support. It was my yearly media trips to Denver, New York and Los Angeles that had me instantly smitten for media relations. I eventually ended up in-house at Hayter Communications, a full service public relations and copywriting agency based in Seattle, WA for two years where I managed key apparel accounts including Holden, Planet Earth Outerwear, Adio Footwear, Helly Hansen, Cappel, and others. My successes included crossing many of these companies over into sought after lifestyle brands from my placements in core fashion and lifestyle outlets. A personal favorite: a Helly Hansen rain slicker in a Vogue fashion spread next to Prada, Gucci, and YSL. Since 2008, Iâve been building my own powerhouse firm that focuses on the whole picture: marketing, events and public relations. Letâs face it, 20/20 vision is only possible when you can see the whole perspective. I collaborate with my clients to build campaigns that are not just successful, but creative and inspiring as well. When Iâm not in the office, I can usually be found making art, making a difference in my community, or making my way to the mountain with my husband and our 150 lb. Alaskan Malamute, Sampson.
