"Get busy livin' or get busy dyin."
This quote comes from the Shawshank Redemption, a film about prison life and the triumph of hope and blah, blah, blah. It's a great flick, make no mistake, but what exactly is the W3 art collective doing dissecting it for their motto? For now, that remains secret. What we do know is that the W3 is the offspring of a few artists from West Seattle. Their combined experience in art direction and ties to the snowboarding industry have made them a powerful entity, with their first show creating a large crater dead in the middle of the Seattle art scene. Definitely keep your eyes peeled for new works and more events from these kids. It's going to get out of hand quickly and you'll be kicking yourself if you miss out.
